Proven, Trusted Leadership.

Henry Parrish is a 6th Generation Floridian and lifelong resident of Brevard County.  He was born in Rockledge, raised in Cocoa, and graduated from Rockledge High School.

The Parrish family is one of Florida’s Pioneer families, arriving in 1823, helping to settle Central Florida.  Henry’s family built a large citrus business and spearheaded the legislation which created modern day Port Canaveral.

Henry is a local businessman, owning Parrish Redevelopment, which redevelops and manages properties.  He also owns the Parrish Grove Inn, a bed and breakfast in Cocoa.  Henry has worked in product development and engineering for Sea Ray Boats, Inc./Brunswick Corp. on Merritt Island for the past 30 years. In 2004, Henry was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to serve on the Technological Research and Development Authority (TRDA), working with NASA to assist small businesses, enhance education, biofuels, and economic development within Florida.

Henry was elected Mayor of Cocoa in 2012 and won re-election in 2016. He has worked tirelessly to reduce crime, enhance infrastructure, and encourage economic development.  Since becoming Mayor, Henry has presided over a 35% reduction in crime, invested over $100 million into infrastructure, and Cocoa has enjoyed a resurgence of economic growth.  As Mayor, Henry is responsible for overseeing a budget of over $150 million, 500 employees, and 275,000 utility customers.

Floridians deserve to keep more of their hard-earned money. We must continue to work to lower taxes, and eliminate burdensome regulations. Florida’s economic prosperity is directly linked to the low cost of doing business in Florida, which is aided by low taxes and minimal regulations.

We have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms. This right should not be infringed. Firearms are the first line of defense against violent criminals and no law abiding American should have barriers erected which impair their self-defense.

America is a country of immigrants, and we celebrate that diversity. However, immigrants should come to the United States legally, and illegal immigration should not be rewarded. We should not tolerate sanctuary cities, deport illegal aliens who commit crimes, and eliminate any state funding for illegal sanctuaries.

We were endowed by our Creator with inherent and inalienable rights; that among these, are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The first of these rights is life. We should protect and value life from the very first heart beat to the last.

Florida is an economic gateway to other parts of the world.  We attract tourists and foreign investments, which benefits our economy.  Florida must continue to lead by investing in our ports, roads, bridges, rail, airports, communications, and water/wastewater infrastructure.

Parents should have more options available to educate their children. School choice will enable parents to choose which educational setting will best help their child achieve their own American dream. Florida is a leader in school choice, and accountability.  We must continue to innovate and allocate proper resources to all educational institutions and better support vocational programs to prepare the next generation of Floridians for the future.
